The J2 batch had stepped down from the choir officially. We will no longer join them for practices anymore (and that suck!). I will miss choir. *sigh*
MJ Choir
I love Choir! I love the members (both J2s and J1s)! I love our conductors! I love our choir teachers! Choir is forever so enjoyable! Despite how tiring school had been, I would be so hyped up for choir practices. I think that choir has been keeping me strong in JC. I think I might not have survived through JC for 1 and a half years without choir. Staying in this CCA has kept me going! It kept me away from all that stress from schoolwork. Choir might be taxing at times but in my opinion it is so much more enjoyable than attending lectures and doing tutorials! Choir rox!
SYF Central Judging
Gold! Gold! Gold!
This is my first time participating in the SYF. Memories from this SYF include: the many practices at Siglap South CC; sectionals in room 03 and 04; the nerve-wrecking auditions; will-never-be-forgotten scolding by Mr Kwei; many a times lunch-ing on yong tau fu and the choral workshops with AJC, TPJC and VJC.
La Risonanza II
La Risonanza II is the second installment to our La Risonanza concert series. It was my third public performance (concert style) following Jubilate last year in 2004. The concert preparations went into full swing right after the SYF. Despite the short span of time, I think the choir put up a good show on Thursday night (260505).
I was put in-charge for the ticket sales along with Harris, Rachel and Eugenia. Ticket sales is one hard thing to manage. However, we managed to profit from the sales to subsidies our dearest juniors for their year-end trip to KL.
To Harris, Rachel and Eugenia: Thanks for all the help! (and putting up with me!)
Aunt Susan brothel was set up during this short period of La Risonanza II. Wanna thank all my "chick-lings" namely: Belinda, Nancy, Wendy, Lulu, Jenny, Tit-fanny, Dorothy and Yoyo. As for who they are, you go figure. Names are subjected to changes.
To all my chick-lings: Thanks for all that fun and laughter! *winkz*
Farewell
It was a day I never looked forward to. One and a half year was just too short! The farewell dinner started at around 6p.m. Flashes illuminated the atrium as the members scurried to take photos with each other. Besides dining and lots of photo-taking, there was also dancing and tau-poking. The farewell was filled with so much fun and laughter. When the choir stood together and sang "Isumo Nando Demo", tears started welling in people's eyes. I could not hold back my tears, they just fell. We sang "Thank You For The Music" too. All the singing did not stop after that. We sat down and listened to the Chamber Chorus performed "You Are The New Day" and "Short People". Seeing xR cry whilest performing, I could not hold back my tears too. This year's farewell was very much more touching than the previous. Maybe it is my batch who is leaving. I feel very attached to the choir and to the many friends I made there (juniors inclusive).
We left school at around 9.30 p.m. A group of us went to Century Square to watch "Monster-in-law". It was hilarious! Anyways, Mr Yong joined us! *yippee!* After the show ended, Cass, Gerald, Harris, Jun Wen and I went to Zheng Jie's place's coffeeshop to have supper. My energy level at that time (around 2a.m.) was still bursting! Anyways, we chatted and left the place around 3 a.m.
I love MJ Choir. MJ Choir rox!
To Rachel: Jia You! You will make a good Librarian/Treasurer! *wink*
